PREFACE

[Note from David T. Freeman: This book was originally titled "The Economic Rape Of America: What You Can Do About It." I changed the title because practically all of it applies worldwide! (In many cases, e.g. below, you may as well substitute the name of other countries for "America.") This will become clearer as you read on. Besides, the portions written specifically about America actually provide many important and useful insights into other countries, and most of it is adaptable.]

Arm yourself with knowledge. Knowledge builds confidence, because with knowledge you know what to do and what not to do - what works and what doesn't work. Knowledge gives you self-confidence. Knowledge and confidence combined is a mighty and invisible power that enables you to do what now seems impossible.

If you follow the crowd, you will get no further than the crowd. If you strike out in your own direction, you will find yourself in places where no one has been before...
