ORDER IMPOSING A PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO VOTE
A penalty of $50.00 is hereby imposed for your failure to vote at the Council elections held on 15 March 1997. In my view your reason (or your non-reply to the Infringement Notice) is not a valid and sufficient excuse for failing to vote.
You should pay the $50.00 penalty no later than 28 July 1997 by cheque or money order payable to the Victorian Electoral Commission, and forward it to the following address:
